I can’t even with this trailer… they turned my love story into something vengeful and conniving. I was really hoping that Mei Niang gets touched by Li Zhi’s love… but it seems that she marries him out of vengeance to get power. I know I wanted her to break out of her innocent and pure 2-dimensional character but I regret it. Now I feel like she’s gotten full evil from the trailer.

I really hope that they play the last scene where they get married in the next few episodes (because sometimes they show something and it doesn’t happen until much further down).

I can’t wait until Fan BingBing’s outfits become more luxurious and beautiful though. She’s been sporting a more simple look but I feel if she wants to get revenge she’ll have to outshine them.

There’s been a prediction and spoiler about who killed Mei Niang’s baby – it wasn’t the Empress or Consort Xiao right?

Apparently it could’ve been and probably is – Princess Gao Yang. Princess Gao Yang, still upset over the death of her lover, blames Zhang Sun Wu Ji over his death. And who is Zhang Sun Wu Ji most afraid of? Wu Mei Niang. By killing her baby and making her vengeful towards the women in the royal palace, Princess Gao Yang gets her to stay to make her go against Zhang Sun Wu Ji. BOOM. That’s horrible, especially since they’re friends but we do crazy things for the name of love and revenge I guess.
