The train has officially derailed
Remember in Episode 3 how the train headed towards Tian Jin derailed? This is how I feel like this drama is. It’s officially a train wreck. I can’t stop watching because I’m too involved with the characters but I tend to dislike characters that stand in the way of the OTP – so I’m looking at Jiang Xin, Jie Wen, and Ye Xin. It’s hard to keep watching when you dislike half of the main characters in the drama. I’ve taken to skimming most of the parts, except the ones with Bai Lang. From what I can see in the trailers and the drama right now, not much of the events add to the plot.
The next few episodes seem like it’s just Ye Xin continuously setting up traps for Jiang Xin, and Jiang Xin being naive enough to step into every single one. How can you have no awareness at this point?! Unless it makes permanent changes into the plot, I find these little traps very uninteresting and unbearable to watch.
The episode starts with Jie Wen trying his best to get Jiang Xin to remember the past. She loves Bai Lang now but she feels pity and obligation to stay with Jie Wen because of her past and what Jie Wen has done for her. Just leave him!!!
Jie Wen takes Jiang Xin to visit her father’s grave and it was so sad.
There were flashbacks describing his character as a loving and kindhearted man, and this nearly sent me into tears. It was so sad, especially with her voiceover. He gave so much to her unconditionally, and in the end, he had to live alone for the remainder of his life, living frugally and trying to earn the little amount money through street performance.
Jiang Xin was his everything, and she couldn’t spend the remainder of his life with him. He was the most proud of her but in the end, he even lost that. Sigh. Papa Jiang breaks my heart.
Meanwhile, in another attempt by Jie Wen to get Jiang Xin to remember, he brings her to this restaurant that they visited before. Chun Hua lied to Jiang Xin, saying that she lost the engagement ring. So Jiang Xin leaves the lunch early to retrieve the ring back, saying that she’ll return.
Turns out it was a ploy so that Bai Lang could see Jiang Xin. His head was turned around, and pretending to read a newspaper so he could hide his identity and speak to Jiang Xin candidly. I just wanna say… How can you not recognize his voice or the back of his head?! LOL. I mean if my significant other attempted that with me, I would recognize him immediately. I’m beginning to question the intelligence of Jiang Xin.
This scene – Bai Lang presents this wonderful illustration of their possible future together. She could teach children to read, he could provide books. She could teach children to sing, he could play on the piano. They could go back to their normal lifestyle. She hated Bai Lang before because of his mafia-background, but she loves Bai Zheng Qin. He could give up everything for her, if that’s what it takes.
$%&#@$ing Jie Wen interrupts the whole thing and starts fighting Bai Lang. Bai Lang obviously beats him up, and Jiang Xin stupidly stands on Jie Wen’s side even though he initiated the fight. Jiang Xin and Jie Wen go back to his home, and Jie Wen raises his voice at her and yells. Are there any girls in the world like Jiang Xin? Because if it was me (or any one of my girl friends) they would say, “How dare you speak to me like that!” instead of walking away and crying.
Meanwhile, Bai Lang insists that the wedding takes place, even though Jiang Xin might not show up. The superstar that he slept with before arrives with a ton of reporters.
I’m praying that Bai Lang doesn’t get embarrassed because I know the wedding won’t go smoothly. I’m so attached to his character right now but the drama is just not going towards his way right now. I hope they don’t do the thing that they did in the third Batman movie and completely break our hero down (and that’s when he gets the girl) because I admire him so much right now.
Trailer 23 Screencaps
I have nothing to say about the screencaps, just Jiang Xin being bullied (again, and again, and again) and Bai Lang being a hero.
Jiang Xin gets bullied as a factory worker.
Shi Tou brings Tang Hu to Bai Lang so Bai Lang can confront Tang Hu about Jiang Xin’s treatment at the factory.
Tang Hu apparently loses his job as assistant at the Ye family and is planning against Ye Xin for a large sum of money.
Jiang Xin somehow ends up to become a manager at the factory.
That jiang xin is so Fking dumb. Sorry mind my language. It’s obvious that thief threw her ring in the pool! She gets tricked again and again! Is she retarded? Naive? I thought watching mei niang was bad, but the acting of Tiffany tang with the clueless expression pisses me off ughhh
