I FEEL LIKE A COCKTAIL OF ANGER AND FRUSTRATION
I’ve solved the mystery. I normally copy and paste the title of each post into the title section of each post because I don’t remember what I usually write for the title but I want to keep all the posts uniform right? Turns out… they create a URL for it based on the initial title, so even when I change the episode numbers, the URL created for the post is still the same – so when I’ve lost a post, I’ve been overwriting it with my previous post.
I guess I learned the hard way because I lost this recap 😥 It was too young to be cached by Google. I feel so frustrated but my OCD and need to have a complete set is too strong to leave this episode undone.
This is why it’s going to be a very brief recap because I’m just redoing it and we’re way past this recap anyways at this point in the drama, so not much commentaries here: just basic highlights on what happened.
Ming Zhu gets uncomfortably close to Ying Dong during the photoshoot, and asks very uncomfortable questions like “Come closer, are you afraid that I’d eat you?”. Ying Dong leaves, frustrated.
Xiang Han Chuan realizes that Ming Zhu accepted a job without asking for his permission, and he confronts her about it.
This is where the truth comes out, where he tells her to stay away from Ying Dong, and that Ying Dong is her brother in law.
The crazy-stalker man that Long Yi released on Ming Zhu is within the photoshoot, and he’s up on the balconies above Ming Zhu.
Now I don’t know why this lady (manager in Mei Hua) was up there, but I’m guessing the producers or the network edited that part out.
So now we’re under the assumption that she was just up above the photoshoot, just screwing around, when the crazy-stalker guy gave her a swift push, which made her knock over his suspended pillar, that almost killed Ming Zhu and Jin Xiu by falling on them.
Conveniently a shred of her dress was caught.
So that convenient detail allowed this manager to be fired and held responsible.
Ming Zhu continued on towards being the crazy ex that she is.
Ming Zhu leaves the photoshoot the next day to her car, except suddenly she realizes she forgot her headdress.
She goes back in to get it, and Jin Xiu is there, and that’s when the crazy-stalker guy found an opportunity to ambush her.
For reasons unknown, they run towards a secluded place, instead of running towards a populated place for safety, but, drama.
In order to save Ming Zhu, Jin Xiu does the sisterly thing to ‘sacrifice’ herself by distracting the crazy-stalker man while Ming Zhu runs.
And by sacrifice, I mean stupidly and unstrategically running into his arms and getting scared. Useless.
Ming Zhu comes back to save Jin Xiu, and they manage to be useless enough to both be tied up.
Imagine this logically:
Have you tried tying your shoelaces? Yes you have. Now multiply the difficulty of that by 20 times. This task requires two hands. He has to manipulate a rope around these girls and tie them up tight enough so they can’t run away, but his only thing controlling them is literally the knife in his right hand. So how do you tie up two girls, a task that requires two hands, but one hand is occupied with a knife?
These girls pretty much had to tie themselves up.
The crazy-stalker guy’s logic is that if him and Ming Zhu die together, they’ll be together forever, and nothing can separate them.
Except… he lights the area around her on fire to kill her, and promptly runs away, thus failing to accomplish his main goal, but drama.
Anyways, while Ying Dong stood outside like a pussy (since he knew Ming Zhu was in the fire), Xiang Han Chuan enters and helps Ming Zhu out.
He just actually walks in, weaves through the fire, and easily helps her out. And Jin Xiu actually gets up to help Ming Zhu up into his arms.
Which begs the question: why didn’t Jin Xiu just walk out? If it was that easy for Xiang Han Chuan to walk in right? She was obviously capable enough of getting up to help Ming Zhu right?
Ah yes. So this is why. So Zuo Zhen can come in here and pick her up and ‘save her’ again.
Sigh. Drama.
Ming Zhu initially agrees with dinner with Jin Xiu (to reconcile their sisterly love) until Long Yi reveals that he was behind all of this.
Ming Zhu blamed Jin Xiu for all her misfortunes and ditched dinner.
LDAFSJDFK;as;dkf Boss Ling’s brother is introduced and his name is Ling Li and he is the cutest. He is so much cuter than Ying Dong, and I wish he was the second male lead instead.
Jin Xiu almost gets assassinated on her way home, but you know, Zuo Zhen has a 24/7 monitor on her and stalks her to ‘protect’ her, and manages to save her. She needs a restraining order. Against Zuo Zhen.
Because hey, it’s only creepy and stalkerish if he’s not hot right?
Anyways, Jin Xiu drops a handkerchief with the same pattern as the tattoo, and Zuo Zhen gets his men to investigate.
Finally, Tang Hai decides to tell Jin Xiu about the significance about the bangle, and has the audacity to get mad at her for not treating it like something important.
It’s like assigning a 100% math test, without telling the student it’s worth 100%. And then getting mad at the student for not treating the math test like it’s worth 100% of their mark.
She gets the bangle fixed, and brings it to Zuo Zhen.
Zuo Zhen proceeds to act like an emotionally abusive and restraining creep again, saying things like “You will never leave my world”, “You are my woman”, “You are already mine”, and other objectifying creepy things.
But hey, it’s ok because he’s hot right?

Ling Li is the cutest, and he tries to woo Jin Xiu (healthily) by asking her out on a date.
She blows him off, and she feels bad the next day. Ling Li on the other hand, had waited all night for her, but coincidentally heard weird noses in different areas of the Mei Hua office. So he invited her to explore with him later that night.
They proceeded to pick locks and discover an uncategorized room.
Lol I’m getting kinda sick with all these dramas lacking thought and logic. It’s like they just wanna tell the story, they don’t care if the scenes make sense or not. Funny thing is ZZ and JX still manage to chat when in the fire lol.

Sigh they only put in parts to make ‘moments’ so that we fall for the male lead… but they don’t know sometimes what they do is so corny and ridiculous
