WHERE HAVE I BEEN?

Hai! I’ve been M.I.A. for around two weeks now… I went from updating every other day to not updating at all because I’m currently studying for exams. Woo! I feel pretty guilty for neglecting this blog… Destined to Love You is well over (it’s been over for a few days now) and I’m not sure if it’s because I watched it in a stressed out state of mind. I didn’t quite enjoy the last part as much as the beginning (remember how I was raving and raving about how great this drama was?) and I think it’s because they went from falling in love to dealing with some seriously patriotic shit. It kind of just… dragged on. I really need to finish recapping this drama so this all will be very BRIEF. Y’all have been warned.

Our story picks up with Bao Bao rejected Xiang Hao’s rejection after Shen Wen Tao arrives to intervene. This is because if Bao Bao says yes, Xiang Hao will figure out that she’s not the real Xiao Han (because then Xiao Han’s real parents will be involved).

F**cking Li Tian Han PROPOSES TO XIAO QI AND SHE SAYS YES. WHY WOULD YOU EVER WANT TO MARRY HUMAN FILTH?!!! AGHHHhhhhhhH.

THEY EVEN HAVE SEX AFTERWARDS $$#%@$!@# AHHHHHHHHHHH.

Meanwhile Ou Yang Fei has been by Xiao Han’s side everyday. I’m thinking that it would be such a good side story if Ou Yang Fei was played by a more handsome actor, and not this guy with his ugly moustache. Seriously how did this guy get any roles?

Xiao Qi tries to get Xiang Hao, Bao Bao, and Shen Wen Tao to be on bad terms by setting Bao Bao and Shen Wen Tao up. She invites them both out for dinner, and intentionally lets Shen Wen Yu know the meeting spot. Shen Wen Yu, wanting Xiang Hao to get over Bao Bao, leads Xiang Hao to their meeting spot, thinking that it’s their date.

Xiao Qi pretty much roofies them both…

And the cadets walk in on this:

OMFG.

EVEN FOR XIAO QI THIS IS TOO MUCH OK?! That is so not right to strip two non-consenting adults and put them naked in a bed together. It would be such a scarring experience for me, how could she do such a thing? Especially having being raped earlier on, she knows how bad it is to have her personal space violated, how could she violate another person’s like that??

The next morning they wake up in embarrassment, but they know nothing sexual happened, knowing that it’s a trap set by Xiao Qi.

They figure out that the whole purpose of this trap was to put on a show for Xiang Hao to see, and Bao Bao stands outside of Xiang Hao’s dorm to clear things up, while Shen Wen Tao stands from afar, to make sure she’s ok. I don’t know how many hours she stood but it became nightfall at one point.

Bao Bao faints from having a fever from literally standing for five hours in the cold (seriously) and Shen Wen Tao carries her to the hospital.

He confronts the unremorseful Xiao Qi…

And Li Tian Han comforts Xiao Qi with this disgusting filthy kiss. AGHHHH WHY.

Xiang Hao didn’t want to talk to Bao Bao, not because he didn’t believe that there was nothing between her and Shen Wen Tao – he merely didn’t understand why Bao Bao had rejected his proposal.

It all becomes clear in his head when he’s walking through the streets and he sees a poster of Bao Bao from the circus… without any explanation, he realizes that Bao Bao is a fraud that that the reason from the rejection is that she’s not the real Xiao Han. Yes. A lot of knowledge from one picture, but drama.

Seriously tho. Xiang Hao rides through the streets looking for Bao Bao and somehow, he looks for her for probably more than 12 hours considering that it goes from day time, to night time, to day time again. Seriously? LOL. Does she not go home back to her dorm?? Has she been standing there the whole time?

Bao Bao and Xiang Hao reconcile on new terms – her real identity instead of Xiao Han, and they’re back together again.

And our happy goes to have some wholesome fun at the circus. We dedicate a whole 5 minute scene to this because, drama. How else would we know that they’re madly in love?

Meanwhile, Xiao Han sneaks out of the hospital to the academy, and she realizes that Bao Bao had took her identity.

She realizes the position she’s in, especially how she has no proof that she’s the real Xiao Han, and that she initially lied about her name as Liu Luo (which I still don’t understand why she did that).

Meanwhile, Du Feng and Shen Wen Yu are getting together.

Ou Yang Fei gets Xian Han the hookups to work at the academy as well as Liu Luo.

Bao Bao finally encounters Xiao Han for the first time, realizing that she’s not dead, when Li Tian Han asks her a difficult question about German and Japanese relations during class. Bao Bao has difficulty answering it, and the real Xiao Han pipes up with the correct answer. 

Xiao Han confronts her about it afterwards, angrily, and Bao Bao explains that she did so just do save her mother.

Xiang Hao finds out that ‘Liu Luo’ is the real Xiao Han.

Xiao Han covers up for Bao Bao (since Li Ji Zhou recognizes her from that photo) and says that she’s Bao Bao’s half-sister from another mother.

Xiao Han meets up with Xiang Hao again and tells him how much she’s loved him for all these years even though they f*cking met once ten years ago, and all she’s been doing (ex. getting her PhD in Germany) is all for him. Hello girl can you be more weak?! All that for a guy you barely know. Makes me dislike Xiao Han even more.

Xiang Hao tries to get Bao Bao back on his side and to make things back to where they were. He tries to reassure Bao Bao that nothing is going to change but she pushes him away, acknowledging that this relationship happened from a mistake, and that they cannot be together since Xiao Han is alive.

Xiao Han is so manipulative, and manipulates Bao Bao in letting her wear the earrings that Xiang Hao had gifted.

Xiang Hao sees the earrings on Xiao Han and freaks out. Bao Bao treats Xiang Hao coldly in order to prove that she doesn’t love him anymore.

And goes as far as using very tough disciplinary measures in punishing him at the academy just to prove that she doesn’t love him.

Anyways, the cadets go through one last exam to get in the Ji Yin Elite Military Group… The last exam is of military personnel looking like terrorists in the academy to torture students to test their ability to escape and their loyalty to the the academy.

The first one to get out is Li Tian Han because he already knew that this was a test beforehand, and so obviously he wasn’t afraid or scared at all.

Bao Bao, as part of the training, was acting like she was tortured in front of the cadets, and Xiao Han acted as one of the nurses to administer drugs. From this, Xiao Han witnessed Xiang Hao’s love and sacrifice for Bao Bao.

The episode ends up with most of the cadets being able to get out. Xiang Hao is the only one that doesn’t get out on time, but that’s because he is saving other people and also Xiao Han.

He ends up in the hospital from overexertion.
