I am distraught. I don’t want to continue watching this drama anymore.
I should’ve known better.
It’s exactly going to be like Lan Ling Wang.
I can’t even. I enjoyed the cute scenes so much today that I had to look up if the ending was online… And I did find it on WeiBo. And now I curse the day that I even started this drama. I am so pissed.

Here’s what WeiBo said.
In the last scene, we see a tour guide going through the Bai mansion, and they look inside the main bedroom. There’s a wedding picture up on the wall of him and his fiancee. It was of her making a silly face to make him smile.
The tour guide says “Bai Lang and this girl was engaged for a year, but they separated but no one knows why”.
“She is so funny!” one of the tourists say, “Why did she make such a face for a wedding picture?”.
An elderly lady pipes up in the back and says “It’s because Bai Lang never liked to smile in pictures, and she wanted to make him smile”. While the other tourists wondered why she knew, she said that it was a guess. That was Jiang Xin, an elderly woman now, looking back on her past with Bai Lang. The Bai mansion has turned into a ‘museum’ or a place for tourists to sightsee because of the Bai family power back then.
The scene/drama ends with her looking on the make-up and brushes that she once used while she still lived there.
Japan invades Shanghai in the 1940’s in history, and Bai Lang apparently sacrificed himself and died during a bombing. Jiang Xin continued to live without him because she was pregnant with his child (at least they once had a family).
OMG guys it already went downhill. Any hopes of Bai Lang and Jiang Xin together are ruined. I pray and pray that the WeiBo is inaccurate but it got ‘retweeted’ so many times and it looked like that it came from the real script. Most of all…. we got a picture with Chen Yu Shan in it, and the said ‘tour guide’ and elderly Jiang Xin.
I can already see my buckets and buckets of tears from this fcking drama. Lan Ling Wang made me so upset for SO MANY WEEKS just thinking about the ending because I loved Ariel Lin so much, and they belonged together. And now I find out that this drama is going to have a similar predicament. I can’t, my heart can’t take it. I shouldn’t have started this. Why would you kill off Hawick 😥 Why would you deny me of a happy ending?!!?!!?!
