If this drama became a person, I would gladly sit them down and counsel them towards heading into the right direction. You know, a good future – something wholesome and worthwhile, instead of the sh*t hole future they were heading down.

I was and am still raging so hard from this video. If this was an academic paper, my thesis would be: “Everyone is stupid in the Lady and the Liar, except for Bai Lang”.

The episode starts off with Mama Ye leaving the Bai mansion, refusing to believe Bai Lang and everyone else. Bai Lang warned her that Ye Xin/Du Xiao Han is a murderer and is dangerous and gives her a gun.

Good. I mean for normal people with normal intellect, I feel like one could deduct two main points: the fake daughter is dangerous, and you should protect yourself with a gun.

However, gun = dangerous, so fake daughter plus a gun would be exponentially dangerous. I mean, that couldn’t possibly happen could it? No normal person in their right mind would allow that to happen right? #sarcasm

Mama Ye immediately heads to the factory to visit Jiang Xin. She confirms that Ye Xin is Du Xiao Han, because she stupidly signed her real name once into the account book where all authoritative figures in the Ye family can see. On the dumb scale, I would give this a 5/10 because she initially did this to scare Tang Hu, but still very dumb way to connect yourself to the past.

Mama Ye invites Jiang Xin over to her house afterwards to celebrate her birthday. If she had deducted one of the main points previously from her conversation with Bai Lang (fake daughter is dangerous), it is extremely dumb to invite the most important person in your life to be in the same house as them. Dumb level: 7/10.

Mama Ye heads home to confront Ye Xin/Du Xiao Han. Mr. Wang even warns Mama Ye again that Ye Xin is dangerous. She still goes confronts her one-on-one. This will add on points on the dumb scale.

Mama Ye confronts Ye Xin while she has a knife.

Dumb scale: 8/10.

Mama Ye literally hands over the gun with no struggle at all to a dangerous known murderer. Mama Ye even acts shocked to know that Ye Xin killed Tang Hu (even though this was said during her and Bai Lang’s conversation).

Dumb scale: 9/10

Jiang Xin arrives to the house. Mama Ye is held hostage. Mama Ye suddenly struggles grabs the gun (now why didn’t you do this earlier) and Jiang Xin is knocked unconscious. Jiang Xin suddenly remembers everything.

Jiang Xin wakes up in this extremely unlikely and unrealistic situation where she’s hanging off the building.

Mama Ye, a socialite that hasn’t done a bit of hard work and obviously doesn’t work out, holding up an at least 45 kg just with one arm for the amount of time that she had is impossible. #kinesiologydegree

Her arm should be dislocated by now, but drama. I don’t understand why the producers had to add this ‘cliff’ scene because Jiang Xin could’ve just woken up on the building because there is no explanation on how Jiang Xin ended up on the edge.

Ye Xin, the thief (because at this point she’s known as the imposter now), helps save Jiang Xin by pulling her over of the building, and she decides to kill Jiang Xin by gun. Well that’s actually a great plan! Nearly fool proof, if executed properly.

If only she had put the gun to Jiang Xin’s head and pulled the trigger. I mean, why not? She has the gun right?

I mean, it would be dumb if she decided to stand 7 feet back from her target whom is also holding someone that matters a lot to her, and close her eyes while shooting. Right?

Well, sh*t.

Dumb scale: 10/10.

Instead of blaming the right person after she regains her memory, Jiang Xin blames it all on Bai Lang.

My message to Jiang Xin: Wait – this is the guy that also saved you from Tian Jin. NOBODY would have known that you were stranded there (while you’ve lost your memory) if he didn’t have his men look over you this entire time. Did you forget the amount of times that he’s saved you, the amount of times that he’s gone over the top to make you happy, and how happy you both once were? Do you remember how you were being a spoiled brat and he had to save you by allowing himself to get beat up and stabbing himself in the leg? I can’t even.

What he’s done aside, he’s not the one that stole your identity!!! While you’re being a brat, Du Xiao Han had escaped even though she was the one that killed your mom, grandpa, adopted-father, and all you can do is blame Bai Lang for loving you while he had no clue this was all going on?! I can’t. I JUST CAN’T EVEN.

HOW IS SHE NOT ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER?! Jiang Xin proceeds to act as a victim, while she tried to murder her ex-fiance. Whatever that he owed you before, he’s returned it now. I couldn’t stand this scene where she was just crying and feeling sympathy for herself, because all I could see was Bai Lang’s pain. He didn’t want this to happen to her either, he didn’t know that this was going on, and she tried to murder him. He is the one that loves her the most, and she tried to murder him. That must have hurt him so much.

Bai Lang is up and walking quickly from a nearly lethal gunshot, because drama. Jiang Xin realizes Tang Hu had spent all of the Ye family estate on stocks, and lost it all. If not returned within three days, Ye family will have to declare bankruptcy. Everything that she owns will be sold dirt cheap on the market, and hungry investors will swoop in and buy it all for a cheap price and make crazy profit.

Jiang Xin beg a board of investors/bankers to give her more time. They insult her the first time and she angrily responds. The next day she decides to apologize, and to her surprise, Bai Lang is on the board of investors. Pretty much, the board is asking for his permission to completely destroy the Ye family estate so they can gobble it up entirely, because Jiang Xin used to be his fiancee.

Not only does the main director insult her, he invites her over (in front of everyone) to his house for one night, and implies that if she sleeps with him, he’ll lend money to her. I saw him slip something into her magic box but I didn’t catch what it is? And they didn’t explain it yet.

Jiang Xin suddenly catches the eye contact of Bai Lang, and he says “What are you looking at me for?”. Ooooo. Damn.

Jiang Xin leaves angrily as she refuses to sleep with this old director scumbag.

Jie Wen initially went in with Jiang Xin to face the board of investors, but he kept ‘barking’ whenever someone said something insulting. He even went back in there immaturely to stand up for Jiang Xin when a director asked to sleep with her. And gets beaten up.

Dumb scale: 11/10

I really hate Jie Wen. It seems like he’s a child that you always have to look after, or else he’d get into a fight or get in trouble. He doesn’t think before he acts. He’s the dumbest of them all, and I don’t feel bad for him everytime he gets beaten up, because I think that he deserves it. What do you expect when you start fights all the time, and say such toxic things to powerful people? It doesn’t make you brave or special, it just makes you look dumb and immature.

TRAILER 35

Jiang Xin dumbly goes over to the director’s house to sign some stuff, and the director almost rapes her. Luckily Bai Lang shows up to save her.

The only way to save the Ye family estate is to marry him, so he owns what she owns too (well unless he signs a prenup, same for her too).

I HAVE SO MUCH HOPE. SO MUCH HOPE GUYS.

As one person commented, this could be their opportunity to start off again on a clean slate and fall in love again (even though I saw a clip of Bai Lang approaching the actress that he was with before). I really believe that Bai Lang still loves her because of that whole “a wolf can only have one mate in his life”. I have a lot of hope that it’ll get better, even though I don’t think she deserves Bai Lang anymore. There are episode 34 and 35 preview/trailer that I didn’t cap because it was just Jiang Xin and Jie Wen together, and they were uninteresting and not worth a mention.
