Don’t get attached to Bai Lang

I guess some of you might have read the ending spoilers that I have posted up today. For those that have, and for those that haven’t, all I have to say is don’t get attached to Bai Lang. Just don’t. You’re just asking for a heartbreak. I’m still moping.

We start off with the cutest and funniest scene ever. Bai Lang is sent into the hospital because of Chun Hua’s laxatives, causing him to have acute diarrhea. He takes medicine to get better, but a side effect of that very medicine are hallucinations and being emotional.

Bai Lang sees Chun Hua and hallucinates that it’s actually Jiang Xin. He holds Chun Hua close (and Chun Hua’s expression of enjoyment is so hilarious) and tells her that he misses her a lot and asks her not to go. He suddenly comes to his senses and pulls away to see this:

And runs to throw up in the washroom. LOL.

Chun Hua goes to Mama Ye to ask her to allow Jiang Xin to take a break from working to come visit her in the hospital (but also see Bai Lang upstairs). Mama Ye agrees.

Somehow, like Cinderella, Jiang Xin made friends with the infectious rats inside her prison-area, and fed them. Apparently she interacted with so many rats before in the poor area that she lived in that she doesn’t mind rats anymore.

Jie Wen asks Ye Xin for an interview, but really, he just wants to use her to get lung medicine to Jiang Xin, because he’s afraid that she might get an lung condition from the factory. Ye Xin is very impressed by him that he went to the black market and fought with a lot of men to get the medicine.

Jiang Xin is released from the factory and goes to see Mama Ye at the hospital. Mama Ye directs her to go upstairs to go find the doctor for her.

Jiang Xin is tricked into going to Bai Lang’s room and she’s locked in by Chun Hua and Shi Tou. Bai Lang is in a delusional state and he’s convinced that Jiang Xin is just a hallucination.

He tells her that he misses her flirtatiously calling him “husband”, he misses her cooked breakfast, he misses her humming, and he misses her laughter inside the house. He cutely says that this hallucination of her is so real that he wants to buy more and more of this medicine. She’s crying – I would be too. I would cry because I would be so touched that to know that there are specific things that this person appreciated and missed about me, and I would cry because of how he lied and there are certain obstacles between them.

She should just marry him then and there.

But no, her justification is that it’s better that it’s only that she’s sad, and no other people are sad. According to that logic, she thinks less people will be sad if she doesn’t get back together with Bai Lang. That logic is questionable because only Jie Wen would be sad if she got back together with Bai Lang. Right now, both her, Bai Lang, and the whole Bai family is sad because they’re not together. They both fall asleep together with her at his side.

Bai Lang wakes up and realizes that it wasn’t an illusion and that Jiang Xin actually came to visit him. He feels her face and realizes that she has a fever. He gets the doctor to come tend to her.

The doctor ends up giving her fever reducing medicine. The side effect is that it makes her emotionally unstable and angry. He decides to get her to drink water through… feeding her with the water in his mouth?! UGH I THOUGHT IT WAS A KISS UNTIL THEY SHOWED A SHOT OF HER THROAT SWALLOWING.

THAT IS GROSS. THAT IS EXTREMELY UNHYGIENIC. I WOULD NOT WANT ANYONE TO DO THAT TO ME, REGARDLESS OF HOW WELL I KNOW THEM.

Bai Lang ends up consoling her emotional breakdown (a side effect) by pulling her close. They both end up falling asleep.

Jie Wen coincidentally finds out that Jiang Xin is released from Ye Xin because a servant told Ye Xin that Jiang Xin is with Mama Ye. Coincidentally Jie Wen overhears that Jiang Xin stayed overnight in Bai Lang’s room, and it looks extremely incriminating as Jiang Xin is putting back on her coat.

All Jie Wen can do from this is to yell at Jiang Xin. Finally she stands up for herself and says, “Who are you to tell me what to do? Who are you to blame someone that can’t remember anything?” – and he goes, “You’re right, I am nobody to you”.

Damn straight you are. Now get out of this drama and stop disrupting the OTP please.

On his way home, he sees some Japanese soldiers and fight with them. I really hate Jie Wen. He’s reckless, immature, and he can’t control his emotions. All he knows is to do is to start fights everywhere. I feel like Bai Lang is going to get in trouble to save Jie Wen or gets pulled into it when Jiang Xin tries to save him.

In a very revealing ‘trailer’ that I found, Jie Wen is going to get kidnapped in the next few episodes – I wonder if it’s the black market mafia men that he fought or if it’s the Japanese to get revenge for their soldiers.

Regardless I am so anxious to see Japanese soldiers in this because I know that it’s in the 1930’s and the war is going to ravage and ruin everything :'(.

Ye Xin and Jie Wen go drinking, and we can tell that Ye Xin is slowly falling for Jie Wen because of his sacrifice for Jiang Xin. Jie Wen later gets confronted by Bai Lang to treat Jiang Xin better and stop yelling at her and blaming her for things.

Thank God someone said it – all Jie Wen knows how to do is to get mad at Jiang Xin, but it’s really not her fault that she can’t remember and she can’t control that she fell in love with Bai Lang. Jie Wen needs to be more empathetic instead of blaming everything on her, and being so pushy with her.

Jiang Xin gets locked up again for returning to the factory late. She only could leave for the morning but she left for the whole day. Later on the night, Jiang Xin’s friend Qiu Yue comes to her and tells her that she stole everyone’s pay because she really needs it for her mom’s medical expenses. Jiang Xin acknowledges that it’s wrong to steal, and that tomorrow, she’ll go with Qiu Yue to tell the supervisor.

Except that the supervisor had actually bribed Qiu Yue to frame Jiang Xin. Qiu Yue gave Jiang Xin the money and said that she was the one that actually stole the money. As a result, Jiang Xin was severely beaten and locked up. They weren’t going to let her eat or drink for days.

Ye Xin starts looking at the watch that Jie Wen left behind. She swears and promises herself that she will win the love of Jie Wen and take it from Jiang Xin.

I hope she does – because if she takes him from Jiang Xin there is one less obstacle for our OTP :’). Finally Ye Xin finally sets out to do something good for the plot!

Trailer 27

Qiu Yue commits suicide upon finding out that her mother has died because she was unable to afford medical care (makes me feel glad that I live in 21st century Canada wew). Jiang Xin sets out to prosecute the supervisor and Tang Hu for their abusive behaviour towards employees.

I found trailer 29 and it’s pretty funny but I am unimpressed with Bai Lang getting Jiang Xin jealous. What are you doing?! ):<

Jiang Xin goes to drop off a gift and he sees Bai Lang with two pretty ladies.

She sits down, pissed, and says that she wants to see Bai Lang enjoy ‘Da Yu Da Rou’ which can mean ‘lots of fish and meat’ in a meal, or… it is also a homonym for ‘big breasts and big butt’ – da yu can mean boobs, and da rou means a lot of ‘meat’ as in someone’s curvy.

He says “Oh, so I can?” and he puts his arms around these two ladies and happily makes Jiang Xin jealous while he’s being fed. LOL I’m so unimpressed with Bai Lang but at the same I still love scenes with Jiang Xin and Bai Lang.
