HOLY CAN THIS DRAMA JUST MOVE ON
Ok even Hawick is barely saving this. I know, I know, his googly-eyed ‘in-love’ smile is very cute and appealing but it’s really not enough for me to deal with this laggy plot. I’m normally pretty excited to watch the drama RIGHT when it comes out but I’m already a few episodes behind and I really have no sense of urgency to catch up. It’s just so damn redundant at times.
I mean… You’re welcome to watch this drama, but maybe… just look for the highlights while you power through. It’s not something that you really need to sit through and listen to all the dialogue.
AIGHT. ARE YOU READY TO POWER THROUGH THIS WITH ME?
Papa Chen wakes up from from his cardiac arrest, and asks Ou Yang Tang whether Chen Bin has been found, since he heard his voice. Chen Bin tells him, “Yes, that was your son”.
You know shit is gonna go down, when you see characters indirectly talk about another character. Yan Song and Qin Mo talk about what Qin Mo’s dad would be like, and that he would be a great man.
Plus, did any one else notice Yan Song’s tragus piercing? I guess she forgot to take it off, but it looks so out of place with her character. She doesn’t have it on in her other scenes though.
ADFLKJASDFK; And true to my predictions Papa Chen dies ; _ ;
I HATE WHEN THIS HAPPENS T______________T.
I hate when characters with amnesia don’t get to reconcile with family members that miss them the most. Like when the Grandpa/Mom died in Lady and The Liar before they could reunite!!!
Anyways, Ou Yang Tang manipulates Papa Chen to sign a ‘power of attorney’ over the company, allowing Ou Yang Tang to take complete control of the company. In return Ou Yang Tang will tell Papa Chen where Chen Bin is.
Obviously this is a lie, and Ou Yang Tang says a bunch of very hurtful things (like that he’s going to harm Chen Bin, and his possible grandchild) in order to keep control of the company. As a result, Papa Chen has a heart attack, and dies.
Ou Yang Tang immediately takes on the new role as CEO of the Ju Yi Desig company.
Like… have none of the producers taken a law course or even watched another drama before?! LOL.
Because seriously, I think it’s pretty common knowledge that you have to be in the right state of mind when you sign POA’s and inheritance stuff – meaning you can’t be drunk, you can’t be sick, you can’t be drugged, and you can’t be threatened.
If Papa Chen just woke up from cardiac arrest, that would automatically render the contract/Power of attorney inadmissible… right guys?
Seriously. Am I the only one that pays attention to the legal stuff? LOL.
Obviously, Executive Chang (seriously I can’t find a better title for him), who’s Papa Chen’s good pal and underling, is pissed, and know what kind of shit Ou Yang Tang is pulling. He refuses to acknowledge Ou Yang Tang as the new head and goes to look for other legal help.
This completely useless lawyer that looks past the point that Papa Chen couldn’t legally be liable for signing those papers in that state, suggests a way to get Ou Yang Tang off the top: with Executive Chang and Chen Bin’s shares combined, they overtake Ou Yang Tang’s, and then the Chen family could retake control of the company.
Executive Chang, who probably has a brain of a f*cking walnut, decides to tell Ou Yang Tang of this fact.
Like DO YOU NOT WATCH DRAMAS? OR DO YOU NOT OPERATE BY LOGIC!? Obviously if Ou Yang Tang is a conniving guy, you’re actually helping him by telling your game plan and giving him ample time to prevent that from happening.
Qin Mo decides to start looking for a job… and Shao Jie conveniently drops him off at the right place at the right time. Qin Mo picks up a blueprint that conveniently flies out of the supervisor’s hands.
The supervisor coincidentally had problems with the blueprint that he couldn’t solve, and the blue print was conveniently created by Ou Yang Tang and his company. Yeah. Seriously. Right?
In the end, Qin Mo decided to take a stab at it, and the supervisor promises him a job if he is actually successful.
Yue Yue catches Lin Qiao drinking a coffee alone at a coffee shop. Ok first of all how did she find him out of all the coffee shops in that city, and secondly, WHO DRINKS AT A COFFEE SHOP ALONE LOL. I mean yeah, if you’re waiting for a class, work, or a friend.
Anyways, Yue Yue catches Lin Qiao and tells him to stop being such a wuss. Yan Song likes him, and Lin Qiao should take control and stop hurting her.
Lin Qiao takes Yue Yue’s advice, and goes to find Yan Song. At the same time, Su Qi shows up and sees Lin Qiao’s attention towards Yan Song and gets jealous (I seriously do not know how they didn’t see her, she is in FULL VIEW in this screencap).
Anyways, Su Qi is pissed and confronts them both. During their confrontation, they hear a loud noise outside, and it’s a car crash.
Since Lin Qiao’s a doctor, he responds right away to help. The injured man in the car crash manage to get away, but Lin Qiao’s foot gets stuck beneath the car.
Suddenly there’s a huge fire that erupts around the crashed car, and we can definitely observe the intelligence of the two female leads through what they pick to do:
I mean you could put out the fire with a fire extinguisher (because… that’s how you get rid of fires). OR, you can act like a flammable human shield to block the fire from your loved one by hugging him.

I can’t tell if she’s standing there because she’s jealous, or she’s stunned at the stupidity of the first female lead
This accomplishes two things: it severely pisses Su Qi off and breaks her heart, and it reaffirms in Lin Qiao’s heart that Yan Song likes him.
SOMEHOW all the rich people know each other in this drama, and when Su qi is at the bar trying to get over her sadness, Ou Yang Tang show up. He’s half trying to hit on her, and half-befriending her because of her wealth and status.
He finds out the complicated situation between Lin Qiao and Yan Song and Qin Mo – and Su Qi reveals that Yan Lang is Qin Mo’s child.
(HOW?! HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?! CAN THE PRODUCERS PLEASE CLEAR THIS UP?! I NEED TO KNOW!!!)
Yue Yue is a designer, and convinces Qin Mo and Yan Song to be their models (I must admit, our female lead looks quite pretty when made-up the right way).
And does anyone notice that Yan Song attended such a ‘prestigious’ school? I mean freakin’ Su Qi is like a wealthy-rich-girl and Lin Qiao’s status is so up there that it’s paparazzi-worthy. I mean Yue Yue is a designer, and they have a friend that is a lawyer that attended the school.
How did Yan Song end up to be a pet store attendant?!
Anyways, during Yue Yue’s shoot, Qin Mo bumps into Xiao Jie, and takes a few pictures for his shoot too (I mean seriously, how small is this city when these coincidences keep happening?!).
Apparently Su Qi has eyes on Yan Song 24/7 (is this what rich people do with their money?) and wants to buy all the pictures so she could post them up on big posters everywhere (to piss off Lin Qiao).
Somehow, just somehow, Ou Yang Tang shows up at the same restaurant – either it’s a really small city, or he’s got people following her too.
Anyways, Ou Yang Tang finds out that she wants to put the photos everywhere and he buys the photos before she does.
(MY GUESS IS THAT HE FORGETS TO BUY XIAO JIE’S, AND XIAO JIE’S END UP EVERYWHERE LATER IN THE PLOT).
Ou Yan Tang’s underling coincidentally sees Qin Mo on his way to presenting the new blue-prints to the supervisor.
He tells Ou Yang Tang and Ou Yang Tang decides to hire Qin Mo to keep him close in order to control him.
There’s a really super corny-villain shot – nobody sits in the dark with a spotlight above them.
And I can’t tell the relationship between Xiao Jie and Yue Yue. Are they best friends? Are they lovers? Xiao Jie is just so damn flamboyant I can’t tell what’s going on.
Ou Yang Tang tells Su Qi that he’s trying to help her by hiring Qin Mo, and keeping him in his company to be able to send Qin Mo off to somewhere else, and to take Yan Song with him.
Su Qi’s really wealthy and she’s got a lot of power, so Ou Yang Tang is trying to befriend her in a sort of way, but instead, this causes her suspicion of Ou Yang Tang’s effort to keep Qin Mo inside the company and to send him off.
Ou Yang Tang goes to meet Qin Mo – to test his memory and to keep a close eye on him. He even goes as far as to visit Yan Song.
I really don’t get it… I mean if he already knew Lin Qiao from long time ago, and this rich people circle is so small, he has to know who Yan Song is right???
Yan Song and Yue Yue go out to a bar to drink, and Lin Qiao show up coincidentally at the same bar to drink alone (seriously, WHO GOES TO A BAR TO DRINK ALONE).
They bump into each other, and when Yue Yue goes out for a phone call, Yan Song dumbly drinks herself silly from being jealous from Lin Qiao’s interaction with other girls.
OK GIRL, EITHER ACCEPT HIM WHOLEHEARTEDLY OR NOT!!!
And she manages to complicate the whole plot by ‘drunk-kissing’ Lin Qiao at the end of the night.
At this point I really dislike Yan Song and Lin Qiao. I hate Lin Qiao’s complete disregard for other people’s feelings in order to get what he wants, and I really hate Yan Song’s self-centered self-righteousness to ‘hide her feelings for the greater good’.
Lin Qiao takes the drunk Yan Song to a hotel (I do not understand why he couldn’t have dropped her off at a hotel), and they sleep in separate beds.

Ok there is no way that she looks waking after she passed out the night before from drinking
This freaking Lin Qiao had the audacity to take the walk of shame with Yan Song back into her house. C’mon. I know he’s trying to show off to Qin Mo and to hurt him, but think about what Yan Lang thinks when he sees this right? It’s so selfish.
Apparently Lin Qiao is so famous, that he ended up in the news by the paparazzi – I guess he’s that rich.
Su Qi blackmails Ou Yang Tang. She investigated Qin Mo, and in fact found that the trust fund that has been supporting his medical bills all these years was by Ou Yang Tang.
Su Qi has now confirmed that Qin Mo’s past probably has something to do with Ou Yang Tang and that Qin Mo is an important person. She only asks for Ou Yang Tang to do what she says and make Yan Song’s life miserable in order so Su Qi would stop investigating.
Because of Lin Qiao’s persistence to be with Yan Song, Papa Lin had cut off all his credit cards and money source. He went to something like ‘Toys R Us’ and couldn’t pay with any of his cards.
Which begs the question – aren’t you a freaking doctor?! A very good one too?! Seriously he needs to hire an accountant or something because there is no way that he has to completely live off his father.
Last words: I NEED THIS DRAMA TO START PICKING UP!!! This drama needs to start having some actual drama other than two guys fighting over a girl.
Omg. I’m up to episode 24 now and it now starts making some sense! Now I know why Yang Song is such a noob mother…! 😛 I won’t reveal too much here in the comments in case you haven’t watched. But all in all, from like episode 21 onwards it gets more exciting! Hopefully the drama will start getting less draggy. D:
